Life Fitness Treadmill -- Club Quality, Home Convenience
The Life Fitness Treadmill product line is produced by the company of the same name, a Brunswick company since the 1990's.
The company started with the Lifecycle exercise bike in 1968, but now produces an entire line of cardiovascular training equipment including recumbents like the 5500 and 8500.
Dominant in the club market, Lifefitness is known for sturdy machines with simple engineering.
Life Fitness treadmills are marketed through dealers, distributors and online in more than 120 countries.
It's A Good Name But Is It Worth It
Life Fitness offers the t-series as a direct descendant of its commercial model series, starting with the standard quality t3, their 'benchmark' value model, and topping out with the Life Fitness t9i, recommended by Health Magazine.
- The t9i bears up to 400 pounds in weight
- on a 5/8 inch 60 x 20 inch belt with cushioned deck,
- 3.5 inch rollers and a 4.0HP motor.
- It's top speed is 12MPH and incline is 15%.
- Needless to say, readouts and feedback are comprehensive.
It also features 16 preset programs as well as six custom memory slots for personal workouts, and it monitors heart rate through Ergo bar hand sensors and a wireless chest strap.
For those whose training regimen is considerably tamer than the Life Fitness t9i would demand, the t3 offers;
- A lighter, more bare-boned treadmil,
- Features a 54 x 20 inch belt on two-inch rollers and a cushioned deck,
- Is powered by a 2.5HP motor, enough for speeds up to 10MPH and incline of 15%.
Those wanting light training and willing to trade off a bit of quality for price might consider the newer st-series, a budget yet well made line.
The warranties on Life Fitness home models are impressive: lifetime on frame and shock absorbers, fifteen years on the motor, three years on electrical and mechanical parts, and one year on labor.
The 9t series ups that to lifetime on the motor and ten years on electrical and mechanical parts.
